In the early 70's I hitch hiked across America 4 times. I became an ex-pat in Devon, England in 1972 after the re-election of President Nixon. I returned for his impeachment and then went overland from Ireland to Nepal in 1975. In 1977 I went to law school and was a solo practitioner for 43 years. I was a trial lawyer practicing in the criminal defense and family law arenas, with excursions into general law. Those were interesting times. I was Jeff Lowe's attorney when he produced the first American Alpine Club sanctioned sport climbing event at Snowbird in 1988. I was Karen Turner's attorney when she created Superfights and ISKA in the late 80's. I was Michael Corbin's attorney when he began producing and hosting the 4 A Closer Look online radio program in the early 90's. I was a member attorney of the Colorado lawyers' civil rights coalition formed by David Lane in 2016. I received my brown belt from Colorado Karate in 1987 and my herbal certification from Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies in 1995. In 1995 I attended John Matthews'  seminars on Celtic Shamanism. In the early 2020's, due to Covid, I retired to pursue writing and art on a fulltime basis. My primary interests from the early 70's until the present have been shamanism, bushido, feminism, herbal medicine and world history. I am currently working on a multi-volume novel.
